Q: What language(s) is the training available in?

Our standard training is delivered in English, however translated materials and multilingual support can be available upon request. When a system is sold through one of our many distributors, training is typically provided in the local language.

Q: Can training be refreshed later if needed?

Yes. We offer refresher sessions for existing customers—ideal for onboarding new staff, following a system upgrade or as part of periodic skill reviews. For software, online sessions are possible. Whilst, system installation is generally delivered onsite at your premises.

Q: Is the training practical or classroom based?

It can be a mix of both. We primarily focus on practical, hands-on learning where possible, supported by clear explanations and materials. Classroom-style training can be included if requested.

Q: How long is each training session?

Session length depends on the content and delivery method. Online sessions can be as short as one hour, while practical onsite training typically lasts 3–4 hours. We’ll advise on the most suitable format based on your setup and team needs.

Q: Is there a maximum or minimum group size?

We’re flexible. Whether it’s one-to-one or a group session, we adjust the format to ensure everyone receives clear, practical instruction. We typically recommend training groups of around 8 people to maintain engagement and effectiveness. Larger groups can be accommodated, but it’s important to ensure the key messages aren’t diluted.

Q: What is the difference between a calibration and a service?

A calibration checks your system's readings against a known weight, with adjustments carried out (if needed). A service is a physical inspection of your system — we check for damage, missing parts, overall condition and carry out preventative maintenance to keep it in good working order.

Q: If our system is returned to your premises, can you manage the shipping process?

Yes. We have extensive experience managing the logistics involved. We regularly deal with temporary import processes, Incoterms, commodity codes and the documentation required for international shipments.

Q: What is the difference between an onsite calibration and one at your premises?

An onsite calibration offers minimal downtime, as there is no need to remove or ship the equipment. The process is completed the same day, with the weighing system reinstalled and ready for immediate use on the track. A calibration at our premises requires the equipment to be shipped to us, which results in longer downtime. However, this option allows us to perform a more detailed service, including a full inspection and any remedial work on the system (if needed).

Q: Is recalibration necessary if I move the weighing system to a new location?

No — a recalibration is not required if the system is relocated. Our loadcells are mechanically independent of the rail infrastructure, so moving the equipment does not impact its calibrated state.

Q: How often should I calibrate my weighing system?

Our general recommendation is to calibrate your weighing system every 12 months. This ensures maximum accuracy and aligns with our own ISO 9001 quality procedures. However, we understand that customer requirements vary — some may choose to calibrate every six months, every two years or in some cases not at all, depending on internal quality systems and usage patterns.
