Company Overview

Stadler Rail Valencia SAU, located in Albuixech, Spain, is a key manufacturing site for Stadler Rail, the Swiss-based global rolling stock manufacturer. The facility specialises in the design, production, and maintenance of a wide range of locomotives and railway vehicles. As part of Stadler’s international network, the Valencia site plays a central role in delivering high-performance solutions to freight and passenger rail operators worldwide.

The Valencia plant is known for producing a broad mix of electric, diesel-electric and hybrid locomotives. Notable models include the Euro4000, EuroDual and Euro6000, which serve rail operators across Spain, wider Europe and international markets. In addition, the site manufactures bi-mode locomotives and freight vehicles for heavy-duty and long-distance applications. Accurate weighing is vital throughout both production and maintenance to ensure performance, reliability and safety.

To meet the needs of Stadler’s facility, we supplied a combination of portable and fixed weighing systems that support both production and ongoing maintenance:

1. Portable Bogie Weighing System – Designed for weighing two-axle bogies, this portable solution enables fast and accurate measurements, making it ideal for workshop use.
2. TrackCell™ Systems – We supplied multiple TrackCell™ systems to the Valencia facility, each integrated directly into the depot’s rail infrastructure. One of these systems was specially designed to accommodate multiple track gauges including metric (1000mm), standard (1435mm, UIC) and Iberian (1668mm). This multi-gauge capability enables Stadler to weigh a wide range of vehicles at a single location, simplifying operations and ensuring consistency.

By delivering these flexible solutions, we have helped Stadler streamline their weighing activities and support quality control throughout their manufacturing process.
