Our Bogie Weighing System Delivers Accurate Results with Minimal Setup
The Perfect Fit for Train Maintenance Environments
This portable weighing system accurately measures two-axle bogies (utilising four load cells) and three-axle bogies (with six load cells) with precision. As a result, rail engineers can quickly assess the weight distribution across a bogie (also referred to as a “truck.”)
With a system length of just 500mm, the Bogie Weighing System is lightweight, portable and easy to position between rail fastenings. It effectively handles the weighing of Jacob’s bogies in articulated railcars and lightweight bogies used in trams within a rail depot, workshop or maintenance facility environment.
For maximum flexibility, rail engineers can generate instant printouts using a digital indicator or choose our software to produce detailed reports. We designed both interfaces to support your specific operational needs.
Key Advantages of Bogie Weighing
This system weighs the entire bogie in a single operation, streamlining the process compared to weighing individual axles separately. This is particularly beneficial for bogie overhauls and modification work, where efficiency and quick results are essential.
Complex suspensions and dynamic load interactions in bogies can affect weight distribution. Our system provides an accurate view of the weight distribution across the entire bogie, helping you optimise maintenance and performance.
Bogie weighing can compensate for variations in track condition and vehicle movement, delivering more consistent results across all axles of a single bogie. This ensures greater accuracy and enhanced reliability, even in challenging environments.
